Audio gating in Logic Pro 8
Apple's Logic Pro 8 comes with a useful noise gate plug-in that enables you to apply interesting gating effects to your MIDI parts. However, thanks to the multiple divide option, you can actually do a similar thing to audio.
In this clip, we'll give you a quick overview of how the noise gate plug-in can work before exploring the possibilities of the multiple divide command. We'll demonstrate that, by varying the lengths of the divisions, you can completely change a part's rhythmic feel.
