Win A Slot At Download 08!
Gibson Guitar is offering one unsigned band the once in a lifetime opportunity to play the Gibson Stage at Download 2008!
Gibson is once again sponsoring the third stage at Download Festival which will see new bands such as Slaves To Gravity, Big Linda, Dillinger Escape Plan and Mexicolas perform to a 2,000 capacity audience on the 13th, 14th and 15th June 2008 at Europe´s largest three-day heavy metal festival.
Olympus will be joining Gibson backstage giving bands the opportunity to roadtest the new Olympus LS-10 - an affordable, pocket-sized digital recorder that allows bands to lay down music anywhere, anytime, any place.
If you are an unsigned band you could win this incredible opportunity by going to www.myspace.com/gibsonolympus, uploading your best performance onto Youtube and posting a link on the dedicated MySpace page.
Your video will be judged by several respected music industry insiders such as Kerrang´s Katie Parsons, BBC Radio 1´s Dan Carter and industry A & R specialist Olivier Behzadi.
On top of opening on the Gibson Stage on Saturday 14th June, the winning band will be given VIP passes for the day, van hire with a tank of petrol, hotel accommodation and an Olympus LS-10. Closing date is Friday 6th June and winners will be notified on Monday 9th June.
