Grunge rockers Stone Temple Pilots, featuring Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland on vocals, are gearing up to return to the live circuit this summer.
According to Scott Weiland´s Velvet Revolver bandmate Slash, the band are getting back together to play an undisclosed number of shows.
As reported by TG last week Weiland told the Miami Herald that a reunion was on the cards in the coming months.
STP had their heyday in the early and mid 90s with the release of their multi-million selling debut 'Core' and its follow up 'Purple'. The band split in 2002 with Weiland going on to form Velvet Revolver with ex-G'N'R members.
Velvet Revolver are still touring their second album ‘Libertad´ and want to begin recording their third this spring.
