Soundgarden Reunion Will Happen, Says Shinedown Singer
Grunge legends Soundgarden are apparently in talks to stage a comeback.
That's according to Shinedown frontman Brent Smith who reckons he has insider knowledge.
Soundgarden split in 1997 with frontman Chris Cornell going on to form Audioslave and pursue a now successful solo career.
Cornell recently stated that he would not count out a Soundgarden reunion, after the other three bandmembers, including lead Kim Thayil, played a set together in Seattle earlier this year.
His comments u-turn on previous interviews he has given on the matter, in which he stated he would never reunite the band for fear of not being able to "tap into the greatness we felt when we were on our game."
"There's talk of a reuniting of Soundgarden in the States soon," Smith told Kerrang! "I know someone who told me that who is actually specifically in their organisation. Kinda told me that they're talking about it".
