Slipknot Top Charts After Dramatic Recount!
have hit top of the charts in the US after an extraordinary SoundScan recount.
All Hope Is Gone, the Des Moines-based band´s fourth studio album, was initially announced as a #2 debut, a mere 13 units behind The Game´s #1 debut, marking the closest margin in SoundScan history.
But after the band's record label Roadrunner demanded a recount it emerged that Slipknot had outsold the hip hop star by over 1,000 copies.
It meant All Hope Is Gone has sold 239,516 copies in its first week of release, marking a landmark achievement for Slipknot and Roadrunner Records.
