Satch Sues Coldplay For Copying His Song
Shred sensei Joe Satriani is suing Coldplay, claiming they copied the melody on their Grammy-nominated song Viva La Vida from him.
Satch reckons the title track of the Brit rocker's current album copies "substantial original portions" of If I Could Fly, from his 2004 album Is There Love In Space?.
In an exclusive interview with MusicRadar.com he says: "The second I heard it, I knew... From the minute their song came out, my e-mail box flooded with people going, 'Have you heard this song by Coldplay? They ripped you off man.'"
Satch wants a jury trial and "any and all profits" connected to Viva La Vida. Read the full report and exclusive interview HERE
