Satch Laying Down Guitar For Chickenfoot
Taking time out from suing Coldplay, Joe Satriani is in the studio laying down guitar tracks for Chickenfoot's debut album.
Chickenfoot (name TBC) is of course Satch's new collaboration with ex-Van Halen vocalist Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony and Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.
"Chad and I just got back this week from recording in the San Francisco area, and I am pleased to say that the basic tracks are finished and smokin'!!" writes Anthony online.
"Right now Joe is sprinkling some guitar magic on everything, and next week Sam will be doing vocals. I can't wait for all of you to check it out!!"
Hagar recently told Billboard.com that the chemistry in the band is "awesome. It's the best chemistry I've ever experienced, better than the Montrose chemistry, better than the Van Halen chemistry."
