Poll Hunts For Most Popular Dead Rock Star...
If you could bring a dead rock star back to life for one gig, who would it be?
John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham are leading a survey to see who people would most like to bring back for one night only.
“We´ve lost so many great musicians over the years, most of whom died too young. Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix and Brian Jones from The Rolling Stones were all under 30 when they died and John Lennon was only 40 when he was shot,” says the survey's editor Neil Cossar.
Other musicians faring well in the poll include, Karen Carpenter, Johnny Cash, Kurt Cobain, Jeff Buckley, Ian Curtis from Joy Division and former Who drummer Keith Moon.
The results will be published at the end of August - head over to www.thisdayinmusic.com to cast your vote...
