Noel Gallagher Attacked On Stage
Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher was attacked mid-song by a rabid fan at the V Festival it Toronto on Sunday.
The man reportedly rushed the stage and pushed Gallagher to the ground while the band was halfway into their set.
The assailant then proceeded to try and attack lead singer Liam Gallagher but was promptly taken down by security. The man was reportedly arrested and charged with assault.
After the attack, the band left the stage for a few moments before returning to play the remainder of the show.
A spokesperson for Noel released the following statement: “[Noel] fell heavily onto his monitor speakers [and was transported to a medical facility] to be examined for a suspected fractured rib and ligament damage."
"The assailant was detained in police custody and will be charged with assault,” they added.
