New Diploma Launched For Guitar Teachers
The Registry of Guitar Tutors has launched a new range of professional teaching diplomas for electric guitarists.
Although recognised teaching diplomas for classical guitarists have been available for many years, up until now there have been no equivalent range of specialist qualifications designed specifically for electric guitarists.
Director Tony Skinner says: “RGT is very pleased to be able to offer electric guitar teachers the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification.”
The diplomas have been designed to reflect the specific skills needed by electric guitar teachers teaching rock and pop music. The focus is not on playing but teaching. They are recognised by the Dept. of Education and Skills as a recognised qualification and have been placed on the National Qualifications Framework.
The exams will be available from October 2008, and RGT will be holding a seminar at London´s Thames Valley University on 16th November to provide information.
A free Diploma Exam Information Booklet is available online at RGT.org.uk or by calling RGT on 01424 222222.
