Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer: Thrash's Big Four Planning Tour?
Thrash's 'Big Four' - Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax - could be planning a tour if rumours are to be believed.
Slayer guitarist Kerry King let slip to TG sister mag Metal Hammer of grapevine rumours that Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich is plotting a tour involving the thrash heavyweights.
It would be the first time ever that thrash's 'Big Four' have played together on the same bill.
"I don't know Lars that well and I haven't heard it from Lars, but apparently he's talking to somebody about it," King told Hammer. "Maybe us, Metallica, Megadeth (and), I think he even threw in Anthrax..."
But, ever the controversy igniter, King reckons Bay Area metallers
Machine Head would be a better option than Anthrax...
"I know we had that time together, but how do you leave out Machine Head? That's nothing against Anthrax, but they've just been in pieces for quite some time and that doesn't make as much sense to me."
