GN'R Announce New Guitarist, Robin Finck's Replacement
Our brothers over at Classic Rock Magazine inform us that Guns N' Roses have announced the recruitment of yet another new guitarist.
He is someone called DJ Ashba, co-founder of Nikki Sixx´s side-project Sixx A.M. and a former member of Beautiful Creatures, and he will replace Nine Inch Nails guitarist Robin Finck in the band. Finck of course left GN'R in April 2008 to resume touring with NIN.
Said Axl Rose: "Dj´s a gifted, energetic guitarist that Guns N´ Roses is proud to have on board!! Guns´ radar has silently been aware of Dj´s presence for quite some time. He brings a fresh approach to our particular brand of mayhem expanding the tapestry of Guns N´ Roses live."
Presumably feeling the need to respond, DJ said: "It´s an honor to have the opportunity to be a part of a band that I have always loved and respected. I´m looking forward to working with Axl, who is not only one of the few great front men of our generation, but a true artist."
The announcement adds fuel to rumours that GN´R are preparing a worldwide stadium tour with Van Halen.
