Fancy a career playing alongside the top names in music including TG contributor and former Prodigy guitarist Jim Davies?
Five of the UK´s top session musicians are delivering masterclasses on Saturday August 30th at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester.
By talking to Jim along with Paul Moran, Dane Chalfin, Nic France and Stevie Williams you can find out what its really like to work with artists like Dave Gilmour, Van Morrison and the Scissor Sisters.
The day is also a chance to find out all about the new Popular Music Practice (Session Musician) Foundation Degree, which the RNCM is launching this September in partnership with music training specialists Access To Music.
The day is suitable for musicians aged 16+ who are serious about a career in music. Masterclasses will be held in: guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals, plus a rhythm workshop.
The Foundation Degree for would-be session musicians is the only one of its kind in the UK situated within a major conservatoire, and the course will accept its first students in September 2008.
