Be Part Of A Thousand Piece Band At LIMS!
The latest addition to the incredible line-up at the London International Music Show (LIMS) is a thousand piece band - and you could be part of it!
LIMS runs from 11 to 14 June at the Excel Centre in Docklands, and the enormous ensemble will be play the BiG GiG at Music For Youth on Friday 12.
The BiG GiG will play a specially commissioned music piece written by respected composer and workshop leader Tim Steiner. This will be a world premiere, bringing together not only thousands of musicians but combining a wide and diverse range of instruments, as all are welcome to bring along something to play.
Commenting on his composition, Tim said, “The Lims Anthem is one big groove, designed to use the combined forces of many players and is built on a four-bar bass line with four chords and big harmony guitar riffs. The piece has been written to allow a huge range of instruments to play together from sitars to iPhones right through to djembes and trumpets.“
The finale will bring all musicians and singers together in a true massed performance to create a unique experience for everyone involved.
LIMS is the UK´s biggest music exhibition and TG will be there all four days at the Future Publishing stand. Drop by and say hello!
Over 200 stands will be on display, with new product launches, a new retail village, celebrity signings, free lessons and a live stage with performances from the world´s finest musicians. Artists already confirmed include guitar legend Steve Vai, Iron Maiden´s Nicko McBrain and Grammy award winner Albert Lee.
