Unsigned? Here’s Your Chance to Get Jacked Up!
The JD Set unsigned, a music platform created by the folks behind Jack Daniels, is an initiative aimed at university student bands with their eyes on the rock ‘n´ roll big time. In an effort to cultivate and support the UK´s new musical talent, bands are being asked to submit tracks for judging, with six finalists being selected to attend a series of musical masterclasses in London, led by iconic New Order bassist Peter Hook and featuring top music journalists, sound engineers, music lawyers and music biz representatives.
Not only will the six selected bands gain a huge amount of knowledge and guidance from the range of music professionals at the masterclass events, but they will be performing at associated one-off gigs attended by friends, meadia and industry representatives at London´s Beaconsfield Gallery. The set from each band will be judged by a panel of experts, who will select one winner to receive the ultimate JD prize to give their career a kick-start: coaching and guidance from top UK booking agency Xray (PJ Harvey, The Pixies) and a six-month PR campaign by Jack Daniels´ PR Agency.
