The future of drum tuition?

Joe Crabtree (toured/recorded with King Crimson´s David Cross, Pendragon and classic rock legends Wishbone Ash) is now offering live one-to-one drum lessons via his website joecrabtree.com. Lessons are conducted via Skype or iChat or through any web browser. The only requirements are a computer and decent broadband internet connection.

Having taught privately for many years and more recently at ACM Joe is no stranger to demystifying complex drumming concepts.

“Last year I started producing free instructional videos for my website” says Joe. “The response was fantastic and I got a lot of people asking if I give private lessons. I set up the online studio so I can give private lessons to anyone no matter where they´re based.”

Lessons are available for downloading afterwards so you can revisit the material covered. Joe also has previous lessons and instructional material available for download on his site.

You can register for Joe´s MasterClasses and get Lesson 1 for free at www.joecrabtree.com/masterclass

I'm MusicRadar's eCommerce Editor. In addition to testing the latest music gear, with a particular focus on electronic drums, it's my job to manage the 300+ buyer's guides on MusicRadar and help musicians find the right gear for them at the best prices. I dabble with guitar, but my main instrument is the drums, which I have been playing for 24 years. I've been a part of the music gear industry for 20 years, including 7 years as Editor of the UK's best-selling drum magazine Rhythm, and 5 years as a freelance music writer, during which time I worked with the world's biggest instrument brands including Roland, Boss, Laney and Natal.
