Ringo invites Sir Paul to guest on his next album
Opinion polarising Beatles drummer Ringo Starr has brought in his old bandmate, Paul McCartney, to feature on his forthcoming solo album Y Not. Macca appears on the lead single 'Walk With Me', as well as playing bass guitar on the track 'Peace Dream'.
Speaking to NME.com Starr said: "I played him this track and Paul said, 'Give me the headphones. Give me a pair of cans'."
He continued: "He went to the mic and he just invented that part where he follows on my vocal. That was all Paul McCartney and there could be nothing better. He's a genius."
The album is due out on 12 January, 2010, and will also include collaborations with Ben Harper and Joss Stone.
