's Andy Burrows release his debut solo album, The
, to the world on Monday 26 May.
To celebrate the release and to raise funds for the Naomi House ‘Jack´s Place´ appeal in which the record is released in support, Andy will part with the vintage drumkit on which he recorded the band´s multi-million selling second album in a special charity auction. The one-of-a-kind kit, which featured prominently on the artwork for the Razorlight album, will be auctioned via eBay.
The kit in question is a vintage Ludwig Green Sparkle kit that will make its final venture with Andy at the helm during a special show at Union Chapel on May 28th (details below). In Burrows´ own words, the kit is his “favourite of all time”.

at 6pm on May 16th, ending on May 26th, the day his album release. He´ll hand the kit over to the auction winner after a final use of it onstage at the Union Chapel on May 28th. eBay say of the auction, “We are really excited that Andy has decided to sell his Drum Kit on eBay.co.uk. Not only will his video listing for the kit be an exclusive live performance by a member of one of the UK´s most popular bands, but the auction is a unique opportunity for one fan to own a true one-off. With all proceeds going to such a worthy cause, we hope that it raises a large amount of money for Naomi House”.
About Naomi House
While ruminating on what to do with his album, Andy was contacted by Naomi House, a Winchester-based hospice for terminally ill children, and asked to become an ambassador for their charity. Visits to the hospice and music workshops with the kids led to the charity asking if there was anything Andy could do to help raise the organisation´s profile. He realised that the ideal way would be to link his mini-record with Naomi house, drawing attention to the charity and raising funds to build a special teenage wing of the hospice called ‘Jacks Place´.
