Pete Lockett working on new Bond film
checked in with Rhythm recently to let us know what he's been up to of late, and boy has he been busy...
2008 kicked off with performances in India with U Shrinivas from Shakti. Pete then arranged and recorded all the percussion on the new Incredible Hulk film with composer Craig Armstrong. Work then began on a new UK percussion project which features Schlomo, Steve White and others.
This was followed by live performances with Steve Smith's Vital Information, with Lee Scratch Perry and Aidrian Sherwood and live solo performances across India. Pete then embarked on a mini tour of Russia with George Brooks and Kai Eckhardt, before performing at Glastonbury with beatboxer Schlomo.
Pete also recently released a new book on Hudson music called Indian rhythms for the drum set, the first book of its kind on the market. And finally, Pete is also currently arranging and recording all the percussion for the new Bond 007 film, Quantum of Solace.
Let's see what the rest of the year involves!

I'm MusicRadar's eCommerce Editor. In addition to testing the latest music gear, with a particular focus on electronic drums, it's my job to manage the 300+ buyer's guides on MusicRadar and help musicians find the right gear for them at the best prices. I dabble with guitar, but my main instrument is the drums, which I have been playing for 24 years. I've been a part of the music gear industry for 20 years, including 7 years as Editor of the UK's best-selling drum magazine Rhythm, and 5 years as a freelance music writer, during which time I worked with the world's biggest instrument brands including Roland, Boss, Laney and Natal.
