Mark Schulman announces new DVD

Between a world tour with P!nk, TV appearances and recording with the likes of Pete Lockett, Mark Schulman is a busy guy. Despite his hectic schedule he has found the time to squeeze in the recording of a forthcoming DVD prior to getting back on tour.

The DVD, A Day in the Recording Studio... A Do-It-Yourself Guide to Recording Great Drum Tracks for Drummers and All Musicians, is the perfect platform for Mark to share his professional advice, creativity and guidance, especially on how to be the most efficient with your time and finances.

"I'm so excited about my upcoming DVD," says Mark. "We taped it last month in my studio in Venice, CA.

"It covers the complete spectrum of recording drums in the studio: preparation of the equipment, tuning, microphone technique, digital recording, my own quick system of charting songs, creating drum parts, performance, editing, effects, studio construction and some darn great video footage! Oh, and there are some cool performances by yours truly...

"Nearly every studio drummer in Los Angeles records his/her own drum tracks in bedrooms, garages and home studios. The days of having an expensive studio and engineer to record drums are virtually done. The new trend is to be able to record drum tracks yourself. This DVD shows you how to do it and reduces your fear of getting started by giving you simple, entertaining and inspiring information. You can start recording right away and have the best time creating top class drum tracks!"

A release date for the DVD is yet to be announced. Keep your eyes peeled to www.rhythmmag.co.uk for further updates.
