Has Guitar Hero inspired you to pick up the sticks?
The latest instalment of Guitar Hero, number 5, is set to hit the shops tomorrow to great fanfare, but there has been great debate since the series began concerning its musical merit. The question on musical purists' lips is, does the game really encourage people to pick up the sticks for real (or guitar, bass and vocals for that matter)? Well, the guys behind the game want to know!
Did your first beats on a Guitar Hero drum controller inspire you to hit the skins for real? Perhaps you have a video of yourself demonstrating how you've developed from a gaming drummer to a real life musician? If this is you, email your stories/videos to guitarhero@bhpr.co.uk!

I'm MusicRadar's eCommerce Editor. In addition to testing the latest music gear, with a particular focus on electronic drums, it's my job to manage the 300+ buyer's guides on MusicRadar and help musicians find the right gear for them at the best prices. I dabble with guitar, but my main instrument is the drums, which I have been playing for 24 years. I've been a part of the music gear industry for 20 years, including 7 years as Editor of the UK's best-selling drum magazine Rhythm, and 5 years as a freelance music writer, during which time I worked with the world's biggest instrument brands including Roland, Boss, Laney and Natal.
