Donavan Hepburn talks touring with Take That...
...'the stuff dreams are made of'
Considering the mass hysteria which meets re-united British boy-band Take That at every turn, it's no surprise that the band made history in the UK when their recent concert tour, The Circus Live, hit a new all time UK/Ireland record attendance of over one million fans.
In total 1,109,160 tickets sold out in record time for the 20 shows on the tour. This averaged out at almost 55,500 people at each show...
Donavan Hepburn, having toured with the band on the Ultimate Tour in 2006, was once again the lucky drummer for the gig...
On the gig Donavan says: "A stadium tour with Take That is the stuff dreams are made of. It was one of my greatest experiences, to be a part of something so big. Playing at Wembley Stadium was without a doubt the highlight for me, 80,000 screaming fans your heart is in your mouth the whole time."
Donavan's Zildjian cymbal set-up for the tour was:

I'm MusicRadar's eCommerce Editor. In addition to testing the latest music gear, with a particular focus on electronic drums, it's my job to manage the 300+ buyer's guides on MusicRadar and help musicians find the right gear for them at the best prices. I dabble with guitar, but my main instrument is the drums, which I have been playing for 24 years. I've been a part of the music gear industry for 20 years, including 7 years as Editor of the UK's best-selling drum magazine Rhythm, and 5 years as a freelance music writer, during which time I worked with the world's biggest instrument brands including Roland, Boss, Laney and Natal.
