Aaron Spears DVD sneak preview
Since we reported that the filming of Aaron Spears' debut Hudson DVD was underway, the main man has been busy, busy, busy! The DVD is now in the can and you can watch a sneak preview here.
The forthcoming DVD features Aaron performing with backing tracks and answering in-depth questions from an in-studio audience. A special feature of the project is the involvement of master drummer Jojo Mayer, who interviews Aaron both on and off the drum kit, to help demystify the deep groove, innovative approach and blazing fills that Aaron has made his trademark.
Aaron answers questions pertaining to his approach to each of the tracks, as well as his approach to preparing and performing some of the diverse material he is called upon to perform. Probing even deeper Aaron also reveals all about his approach to shuffles, New Jack Swing, the infamous “James Brown” fill, and even his shoes!
The DVD is slated for release this Autumn.
