A bit pricey.
MusicRadar's got your back
'Orchestral percussion' may bring to mind timpanis, clash cymbals and the humble triangle, but this 19GB package also features tons of ethnic percussion, tuned percussive instruments such as vibes and glockenspiel, and those ever-useful gongs.
The quality level is high, and with the tuned percussion, you get FX kits as well as multisampled patches, which are great.
Kontakt Player 2's scripting functions are put to good use with various humanisation options for the composer in a hurry, and the patches all feature an impulse response reverb effect with
a huge number of built-in presets.
Overall, Elite Orchestral Percussion might be a bit on the steep side, but if you're prepared to pay for quality, you'll find plenty of it here, not to mention tons of sounds and a powerful yet easy-to-use front-end.
