In 88-key hammer action, and 73-note balanced action
Following the success and critical acclaim of the YC61 as well as numerous inquiries from musicians around the world, Yamaha expands the YC range by two new models: YC88 and YC73.
The YC88 features an 88-key Natural Wood Graded Hammer action keyboard or a grand piano inspired playing style. The YC73 uses Balanced Hammer Standard action to replicate the feel of classic electric pianos.
Both new models offer a large variety of sounds from organs to synthesizers by integrating three sound engines: VCM, FM andAWM2. Combined with sound effects and layering options, the sonic versatility of the new instruments is impressive. Intuitive direct controls and connectivity options for second manuals, switches and pedals add to the comprehensive flexibility. Constant updates will expand on this basis even further.

And brand-new Pacificas too
Yamaha today introduced two new models in the Pacifica612 range, featuring striking new finishes.
The Pacifica612VIIFMX sports a flamed-maple veneer top with a Fired Red finish, and the Pacifica612VIIX is available in Matte Silk Blue, Teal Green Metallic, and Yellow Natural Satin. The guitars combine renowned Yamaha build quality and playability with premium third-party components, recalling the Pacifica series’ LA custom shop roots.
“The Pacifica series was originally designed with our Los Angeles custom shop for players who needed premium features and performance,” said Dave Miner, Product Marketing Manager for Electric Guitars with the Yamaha Guitar Group. “Pacifica600 models continue that tradition with upgraded hardware and a growing line up of finishes, so players can find their perfect sound and style.
