Black Friday has kicked off early for musicians thanks to these 6 unmissable sales
Why wait to make a saving when you can enjoy Black Friday fever right now at Fender, Sweetwater, Guitar Center and more
We used to advise people to hold out until the true Black Friday music deals landed at the end of November before parting with any cash. But that’s become way less of a thing since music retailers started dropping deals earlier and earlier. This year is the earliest yet with both ‘early Black Friday sales’ and official Black Friday sales dropping the second November arrived.
While we get it that good things come to those who wait and we’re sure some companies will hold onto their most premium deals for Black Friday itself (24 November), there are some genuine Black Friday-beating offers live right now.
Take Sweetwater, for example, where there’s currently up to 70% discounts up for grabs on a range of music making gear, from guitars to synths and microphones. Discounts of this size are usually only reserved for Black Friday. While Positive Grid has launched its official Black Friday sale with discounts on every model of Spark amp, including the new Spark Go, plus up to 60% off BIAS software.
Some of these sales have an end date of mid-November, which suggests that even more deals are just around the corner. But our advice, from many years of covering these events, would be that if you spot something you like in these early sales, grab it now as it may not feature in later sales, or the price could go up. Shopping early also means you have your pick of the stock and you can avoid the stress and noise when Black Friday proper rolls around.
Sweetwater’s early Black Friday sale: Up to 70% off
There's no need to wait for Black Friday itself to access some amazing deals on guitars, basses, amplifiers, pedals, and more. In this early BF sale you’ll find delicious deals on PRS, Universal Audio, Mesa/Boogie, Taylor, and plenty of other desirable brands. The sale ends on November 16.
Guitar Center Holiday Sale: Up to 35% off music gear
Despite being a few weeks away from Black Friday still, Guitar Center has hit the ground running with their Holiday Sale, giving musicians up to 35% off a massive range of gear. We’re expecting there will be loads more added as we progress through the month, but it’s well worth a browse now if you’re looking for an early deal.
Fender Holiday Deals: Up to 30% off
For a limited time, you can take advantage of an impressive up to 30% off a wide range of Fender and Squier guitars, including models from the Aerodyne, Acoustasonic, Noventa, Paranormal and Squier Sonic ranges. There's something in this sale for every type of player - but stock is limited.
Positive Grid Black Friday: Save big on smart amps
Their official Black Friday sale has launched early giving you the opportunity to save big on desktop amps, modeling software, and accessories. With $70 off the Spark 40 and $40 off the Spark Mini amps, it’s a great opportunity to get your hands on a killer smart amp for a lot less. There’s also loads of BIAS software available too, perfect for getting better-recorded tones at home.
Musician's Friend Holiday Deals: Up to 40% off
Like many other retailers, Musician's Friend has gone big and gone early with their November sales offering, with massive savings of up to 40% off music gear. There's some great brands on offer too, including Gretsch, PRS, Roland and more.
Waves early Black Friday: Plugins just $19.99
It's never been easier to get great results recording at home and the Waves early bird Black Friday sale makes it even cheaper, too. There's some stone cold classics here like our personal favorite the Scheps 73 mic pre and EQ which makes pretty much everything sound better, and some useful tools like the S1 Stereo Imager and the classic H-Delay. This is week 1 of the sale, so the products on offer will likely change next week.
