Stars' Reason secrets revealed
Artist Patch Charts now available
Many of us strive to recreate the sounds that we hear on pro recordings, and thanks to Propellerhead, this has just become much easier for Reason users.
This is thanks to the company's new Artist Patch Charts - lists of sounds (plus details of how they were created) from famous Reason users.
Flaming Lips drummer Steven Drozd, synth guru Richard Barbieri and Chaka Khan's keyboard player Javad are just three of the artists who've contributed.
Each entry details the location of the patch the sound is based on, and many of these can be found in Reason's Factory Sound Bank.
The Artist Patch Charts can be viewed now on the Propellerhead website.

I’m the Deputy Editor of MusicRadar, having worked on the site since its launch in 2007. I previously spent eight years working on our sister magazine, Computer Music. I’ve been playing the piano, gigging in bands and failing to finish tracks at home for more than 30 years, 24 of which I’ve also spent writing about music and the ever-changing technology used to make it.
