The 2009 Macworld show kicks off in San Francisco today, and rumours are rife that Apple could use this as the launch platform for a new version of GarageBand.
Details on what this update might contain are scarce (almost non-existent, in fact), but one potentially exciting development is that owners of the software will be able to download celebrity-hosted music lessons.
9to5 Mac speculates that these will be made available as chargeable downloads, but how they might integrate with GarageBand remains to be seen.
Any new version of GarageBand is likely to form part of the iLife '09 software suite, and some are predicting that elements of this will be available online, and thus be accessible from any internet-ready computer.
Other notable Macworld rumours say that they we'll see the much-talked-about new iMacs and Mac minis with NVIDIA chipsets, more details on Mac OS X Snow Leopard and perhaps even an iPhone nano (a mini iPhone, basically).
All will be revealed during Apple's keynote address at 9am on Tuesday 6 January 2009.
