Kontakt 3 crossgrade offer for GigaStudio owners
All aboard the Native Instruments lifeboat
Users of Tascam's GigaStudio sampler who've been left stranded after Tascam's decision to stop developing the product are now being offered an affordable crossgrade to Native Instruments' Kontakt 3.
As you may remember, Tascam made its controversial decision to axe GigaStudio in July 2008. Sales and support for the product will end on 31 December 2008.
NI, though, is offering users a lifeline: they can switch to Kontakt 3 for the reduced price of $279/€249. This is nearly 40% less than you'd pay for the software if you were buying it as a new customer.
To take advantage of this offer, GigaStudio owners should go to the crossgrade page on the Native Instruments website or visit their local NI dealer. Proof of purchase is required in order to secure the special deal.
