FabFilter Volcano 2 features customisable interface
Only see what you're going to use
FabFilter has released Volcano 2, the second version of its popular filter plug-in. This adds more filters (there are now four), more routings and “practically unlimited” modulation sources, but the biggest news concerns the implementation of the ‘what-you-use-is-what-you-see´ interface.
This improved GUI enables you to add new elements as you require them (an extra envelope follower or filter, for example) and only see what you actually need. This should make for a more intuitive user experience and enable you to make things as simple or complex as you like.
Volcano 2 is available now for Mac and PC as a VST, RTAS and Audio Units plug-in. It costs $179/€119/£94. Further details and a demo version can be found on the FabFilter website.
