Authentic feedback for your software amp?
We've now got plenty of software guitar amps to play with, but what are they all missing? According to Softube, it's realistic feedback.
Acoustic Feedback is a new plug-in that's designed to emulate the feedback that occurs between the guitar and the amp. It uses physical modelling technology to create its sound and responds to the likes of vibrato, bends, slides and tremolo.
The software's user interface is simple enough. The amount of feedback is controlled with the Feedback knob, and the sensitivity with the Tolerance knob.
Although Acoustic Feedback doesn't have any amp simulating elements built into it, it does come with a stripped down version of the White amp that forms part of Softube's previously released Vintage Amp Room.
Priced at €89/$99, Acoustic Feedback is available for Mac and PC in VST, AU and RTAS formats. You can buy it or download a fully-functional 10-day demo version (iLok required) by clicking here.
