Spice up your pentatonic solos the easy way with this guitar lesson

The minor pentatonic scale is a favourite for guitar solos and its five notes offer great melodic choices for places. But it's also a scale guitarists can end up feeling limited by. Fear not; there's some simple ways to spice things up and create innovative and sexier solos with it, as Elixir® Strings artist Cameron Cooper explains.

In the video lesson above, the UK YouTube tutor and guitarist with heavy rockers Lake Domain explains how players like Zakk Wylde and George Lynch enhance their pentatonic approach.

Cameron shows that by adding just a couple of notes you can give your minor pentatonic runs new freedom and add exciting layers to your phrasing.
