NAMM 2018: Monster haul of new Jackson Pro, X and JS Series axes
New models, finishes and wood options for the year
Pro Series Dinky DK2 Ash
The perennial favourite of metallers old and new gets an ash option for 2018, with an ash body, maple bolt-on neck and direct-mount Seymour Duncan JB TB-4/’59 SH-1N humbuckers, alongside a five-way switch and a Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 tremolo.
Pro Series Dinky DK3 Okoume
Pairing a satin-finished okoume body with an HSS configuration of a Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 humbucker and two Strat SSL-6 single-coils. There's also a bolt-on maple neck with a friction-reducing urethene gel coating and Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 tremolo.
Pro Series Soloist SL2P MAH/HT MAH
Two new additions to the Pro Series range, offer the option of a poplar burl-topped mahogany Soloist body in vibrato and hardtail options, respectively. The Pro Series Soloist SL2P MAH comes with the Floyd Rose FRT-O5000 double-locking tremolo bridge while the HT option has a string-through-body Jackson bridge.
Both guitars have through-body maple necks, piranha tooth inlays and Seymour Duncan Distortion pickups.
Pro Series Monarkh SC Ash and SCQ
The new Pro Series Monarkh singlecuts get some new wood options this year. The SC Ash adds an arched maple cap and ash top to a mahogany body, while the SCQ features new Alien Burst and Satin Amber over a quilt maple top.
Pro Series - new finishes
There's a raft of new colour and finish options on the way for a number of existing Pro Series models, including the Soloist S2 in Deep Black and Deep Purple Metallic, the Pro SL2Q MAH in Northern Lights or Purple Phaze and the King V in Gloss Black and Ferrari Red, plus the King V KV MAH, which has a natural finished mahogany body with gold appointments.
