Line 6 at Guitar Showcase 2021: world-class effects processing and modelling innovation
A world of technology and tone with Line 6
At Line 6, innovation has always been part of our DNA.
Twenty-four years since we launched our original AxSys 212 amplifier at NAMM, we’re proud of the trail we’ve blazed for modelling technology, from the original kidney bean-shaped POD in 1998 through to the game-changing Helix processors – and we’re even more excited about the products still to come.
HX Stomp™ XL
Earlier this year, we introduced the HX Stomp™ XL amp and effects processor. This latest addition to the HX™ family of pedalboard-friendly products literally expands the popular HX Stomp processor by adding five capacitive-touch footswitches for a total of eight.
“HX Stomp has been a very strong product for Line 6,” said Eric Klein, Chief Product Design Architect, Line 6.
“Thanks to its Helix-quality tones, immense flexibility, and tiny footprint, it’s found its way onto countless pedalboards all over the world. However, the HX Stomp pedal's size dictates how much realtime control one has, and many users have added third-party footswitches and MIDI controllers to push its limits.
“HX Stomp XL adds five additional capacitive-touch switches to not only preclude the need for external control, but also turn HX Stomp XL into a master controller itself, all in a box smaller than two HX Stomps.”
Packed with presets and effects
HX Stomp XL comes loaded with more than 300 amps, cabs, and effects, including world-class polyphonic pitch-shifting effects. The 128 factory presets include both vintage and modern sounds, and there are also presets created specifically for bass players, as well as individual bass amp and cab models.
Additional features
Additional features include a choice of true bypass and DSP bypass with trails, a stereo effects loop to integrate external devices or employ 4-Cable Method, a jack for two external footswitches or an expression pedal, third-party IR support, and a multichannel 24-bit/96kHz USB audio interface. The free HX Edit app lets you create, save and load presets, and customize nearly all pedal parameters. It’s also a preset librarian and IR loader.
POD Go
POD® Go and POD Go Wireless amp and effects processors get you on the road to ultimate tone via their ultra-portable and lightweight design, simple plug-and-play interface, and best-in-class tones.
The Line 6 POD Go guitar multi-effects processor has many features that enable you to play and sound your best. In this video Paul Hindmarsh demonstrates the onboard mono or stereo Looper (single- and 6-switch), the stereo Effects Loop, the Amp Out output, and using IRs (impulse responses).
