Watch Beck cover Sunday Morning
We told you yesterday about Beck's new Record Club experiment, which involves him covering various complete albums, each one in a single day.
Well, lo and behold, this venture has already borne fruit: a cover of Sunday Morning from The Velvet Underground & Nico has appeared on Beck's website, complete with rough 'n' ready studio footage.
According to Beck, there was "nothing rehearsed or arranged ahead of time," and this being the case, it's a surprisingly professional-sounding piece of work (though, in truth, it's not exactly a complex arrangement).
Collaborators were "Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker, Brian Lebarton, Bram Inscore, Yo, Giovanni Ribisi, Chris Holmes, and from Iceland, special guest Thorunn Magnusdottir".
You can hear the song on Beck's website, but we had trouble with the video player so here's a YouTubed version, too.
