VIDEO: Me and my guitar with King 810's Andrew Beal
The controversial metal band's guitarist and his ESP LTD
All the way from the dark streets of Flint, Michigan to the deck of Bristol's Thekla venue; King 810 have already come a long way since releasing their debut album Memoirs Of A Murderer earlier this year. And they're stirring up controversy and discussion in the metal community like all good bands should.
But guitarist Andrew Beal is amiable and happy to talk about his main guitar when we met him on the Thekla (a boat moored in Bristol that also serves as a music venue) for the latest installment of Me And My Guitar, ahead of their landmark debut overseas show. It was to be the beginning of a UK tour that saw them winning the hearts and minds of new fans with an intense live show.
King 810 play Slipknot's Knotfest in San Bernadino, California on 25 October. The band will then open for Slipknot on the US leg of their Prepare For Hell tour, along with Korn, for dates between October and December.
