The Black Cab Sessions: Lykke Li
Want a novel way to record music videos?
Ever wondered about making a cheap but interesting video of your band? Well, why not do it all for the price of a London cab? It seems that many artists are doing just that in the Black Cab Sessions, made by Just So/Hidden Fruit Films.
MusicRadar first became aware of the phenomenon through the Swedish nu-folk artist, Lykke Li, whose fantastic voice is making waves on the Internet. Indeed, Lykke Li is no stranger to recording songs in odd locations. One was recorded in a toilet.
However, it was Lykke Li's video in the back of a black cab that really caught our attention. You can check the video of I'm Good, I'm Gone on YouTube.
In fact, there's over fifty other artists appearing in the Black Cab Sessions. On the website you can hear tracks by Cool Kids, Fleet Foxes, My Morning Jacket, The Futureheads, The Kooks, Seasick Steve and many more. Go check them out.
