Shadow unveils active SH 141 soundhole pickup for acoustic guitars
New acoustic pickup is hum-free

Pickup and preamp manufacturer Shadow Electronics used Musikmesse 08 in Frankfurt to unveil the newest version of the SH 141 active pickup, and prices and availabilty have now been announced.
The SH 141, which fits into the soundhole of an acoustic guitar and comes with an end-pin that can be installed at the strap button of the guitar, will be priced at €130 and is available from the end of April 2008.
The pickup is, according to Shadow, "characterized by perfectly balanced output and creates, unlike other magnetic soundhole pickups, a very clear and crisp acoustic sound." It has a low inpedence output and Shadow claim the pickup is hum-free due to the shielded case.
There's more information on the SH 141 active soundhole pickup at the official Shadow Electronics website.
