Pink Floyd one more time - again?
A show, maybe. A tour, unlikely
From the second they completed their 23-minute reunion at London's Live8 concert in July 2005, one question has been asked of Pink Floyd: So, when are you doing it again?
Now, in his most definitive response, guitarist David Gilmour says, "Who knows?" Speaking at the Ivor Novello Awards, where he was presented with a Lifetime Achievement prize, Gilmour didn't say he opposed the idea of another reunion, but he shot down the notion that any concrete plans had been made.
"Who knows the future? I haven't absolutely said no to the possibility but I think that in reality any sort of long-term thing together is not going to happen. We did the one-off thing and that was probably enough for me but we shall see. At my incredibly advanced age - having achieved this - I've earned the right to sit on my ass for a little while and consider what to do next."
Perhaps he would like to have a cigar as well.
