Milk carton resonance speaker has limitless possibilities
Turn any hollow space into a 2W speaker
Resonance speakers can turn any low-density surface (like a hollow box) into a larger speaker. The concept is nothing new, but the Yoruzu audio kit comes with a ready-made Sound Revolution milk carton, which looks effortlessly cool.
Plug your iPod or sound-making device into the provided amplifier and fix that via a stethoscope-like attachment to the carton to create an instant 2W speaker.
You could, in theory, plug in an electric guitar and jam away. Adding a DI box into the mix might even make it sound good. Gizmodo suggests hooking-up to a hollow cavity wall in your house, as a treat for the neighbours…
The Yoruzu audio kit costs 4980YEN ($51), available in Japan from 5 December.
