KISS rerecord greatest hits for Japanese release

As stated by Gene Simmons, KISS might have abandoned plans to record new albums, but that doesn't mean they won't rerecord their own songs.

DefSTAR Records/Sony Music Japan is releasing KISS Jigoku-Retsuden, a KISS greatest hits CD featuring all-new versions of 15 KISS classics

The tracks were recently recorded and feature Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and current substitute members Eric Singer and Tommy Thaler. The CD is scheduled to be released in Japan on August 27. A limited edition version of the CD is also being released, and includes a bonus KISSOLOGY DVD with live footage from KISS' legendary 1977 performance at Budokan.
