Last week, MusicRadar reported to you exclusively about Jack White's plans for the next Whte Stripes album. Now White and the members of his 'supergroup' The Dead Weather have announced dates for their first tour - and revealed artwork for their debut album Horehound.
The band will play some one-off shows - 11 June in Louisville, Kentucky, 24 June at The Forum in London and 29 June at La Cigale in Paris - but the tour officially kicks off on the day of Horehound''s European release (13 July) release with a pair of gigs at Washington, DC's trusty 9:30 Club.
From there, the tour goes Northeast, midwest, Northwest, Southwest, until culminating at the Austin City Limits in (where else?) Austin, Texas.
Presale tickets for all Dead Weather shows go on sale this Wednesday, 13 May at The Dead Weather website.
Can't catch White and co on tour this summer? Then you might want to check out Jack (along with Jimmy Page and The Edge) in the marvelous documentary It Might Get Loud, due this August from Sony Classics.

“It didn’t even represent what we were doing. Even the guitar solo has no business being in that song”: Gwen Stefani on the No Doubt song that “changed everything” after it became their biggest hit
"There was water dripping onto the gear and we got interrupted by a cave diver": How Mandy, Indiana recorded their debut album in caves, crypts and shopping malls
Joe is a freelance journalist who has, over the past few decades, interviewed hundreds of guitarists for Guitar World, Guitar Player, MusicRadar and Classic Rock. He is also a former editor of Guitar World, contributing writer for Guitar Aficionado and VP of A&R for Island Records. He’s an enthusiastic guitarist, but he’s nowhere near the likes of the people he interviews. Surprisingly, his skills are more suited to the drums. If you need a drummer for your Beatles tribute band, look him up.
