IK Multimedia unleashes the StealthPedal
PRESS RELEASE: IK Multimedia is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated StealthPedal, the world's first compact audio interface and MIDI controller housed in a wah-style pedal is now shipping.
StealthPedal was designed specifically for guitar and bass players who are looking for an affordable way to connect their instrument to their computer with the highest audio quality and the ability to control the functions of their software from the floor. Players can plug into the StealthPedal and immediately control the supplied "Powered by AmpliTube" software without additional setup. Plus, they can control ANY MIDI controllable software with the StealthPedal using the included StealthPedal MIDI setup application for Mac/PC.
StealthPedal can be used on its own or incorporated into an existing pedal chain setup to add the power, convenience and flexibility of a computer based rig to live performances.
StealthPedal Overview:
The StealthPedal is an affordable USB-powered audio interface that also works as a software floor controller, allowing users to play and record guitar or bass with a Mac or PC, offering 24bit A/D and D/A conversion and 44.1/48 kHz operation. Two discreet inputs allow for connection of Hi-Z or line level instruments. It also features two separate outputs, plus a convenient headphone output for private listening and mobile jamming.
The built-in expression pedal and switch can be associated with any parameter of any of IK's "Powered By AmpliTube" software or any other amp and FX modelling software with MIDI control capabilities. The StealthPedal's control functions can be further expanded with an additional expression pedal and two extra switches for additional live or recording flexibility.
The circuit design of the StealthPedal is derived from IK's StompIO high-end stage controller, ensuring the highest audio fidelity for recording. It also provides a software configurable input gain level and a 109dBA low-noise input stage for optimal audio quality.
