Happy New Year from MusicRadar!
Wishing you a brilliant 2009
First off, the happiest of new years to all those taking time off their hangovers to read this post. Your attendance over the festive break has been so very much appreciated - our marathon 12 Days of Christmas postathon plus plentiful End of Year reviews have been brilliantly popular and we hope you've enjoyed what you've read. If not, just kick back with the last of the eggnog and the four days of brain goo that is 101 Facts You Never Knew About Music.
Second off, we're back! Full news, interview, review, podcast and tuition service returns on Friday 2nd January with all systems fully operational on Monday 5th. Until then, take a look at our Resolutions and Predictions for 2009 and then let us know your thoughts - what do you think will be big news in 2009? What New Year's resolutions do you wish the music industry would make for itself? Just leave a comment either here or on the feature itself. We'd love to know what you think as we start gearing up for NAMM in just two weeks time.
Okay, we'll see you all again tomorrow and until then - enjoy this slightly schmaltzy but downright festive clip of nu-folkers Rachel Unthank and the Winterset performing gorgeous New Year ballad, Tar Barrell in Dale, for Messrs Radcliffe and Maconie on BBC Radio 2. Decidedly unfestive rock and tech service to be resumed next week but until then - happy new year!
