Gibson offers chance for new act to play Download
Get onstage in front of 20,000 metal fans this summer

Gibson Guitars is to offer one unsigned band the once in a lifetime opportunity to open and perform live on the Gibson Stage at Download Festival 2008.
Gibson is co-sponsoring Download´s third stage, which will see new bands such as Slaves To Gravity, Big Linda, Mexicolas, Saxon, Kill Hannah, Voodoo Six, Haunts, Blackhole and Beat Union perform to the 2,000 capacity audience on 13-15 June 2008. Total capacity for the festival is 80,000 with this year´s headliners being Kiss, The Offspring and Lost Prophets.
To enter the competition visit www.myspace.com/gibsonolympus and upload your best performance onto You Tube and post a link on the dedicated My Space page.
On top of opening on the Gibson Stage on 14 June, the winning band will be given VIP passes for the day, van hire with a tank of petrol, hotel accommodation and an Olympus LS-10.
