Former Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch announces solo debut
Save Me From Myself, etc.
Former Korn guitarist and founding member Brian "Head" Welch has announced September 9 as the release date for his solo debut album, Save Me From Myself.
The name is an abbreviated take on the name from his memoir, Save Me From Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Drugs And Lived To Tell My Story, which enjoyed a healthy run on the non-fiction bestsellers list when it was released last year.
In 2005, Welch famously quit Korn after 10 years with the band, announcing that he had been saved by Jesus Christ in front of 10,000 people in his Bakersfield, California hometown. Head's only live appearance since leaving Korn was the performance of Letter To Dimebag at the Valley Bible Fellowship, a tribute to the late guitarist Dimebag Darrell.
