Doves video: Jez Williams' live rig revealed
Gearing up for the 6 April release of their fourth studio LP Kingdom Of Rust, Doves headed out on an intimate club tour, gracing some of the smallest venues the band have visited in years. And MusicRadar was there…
Situated in the gritty surroundings of Coventry's former red light district, the Kasbah is an indie kid's haven. 17 March saw the packed-to-bursting venue's foundations duly rocked by Doves' pounding, anthemic rock 'n' roll.
Before we enjoyed a potent cocktail of old and new material, there was the small matter of work to do. Following a seriously loud soundcheck, Doves guitarist and occasional singer Jez Williams invited us onstage to talk us through his live rig.
Check out the video…
Kingdom Of Rust is available via Heavenly Records from 6 April. For an in-depth interview with Jez Williams in which he discusses the weird and wonderful array of equipment used to record the album, check out issue 316 of Guitarist magazine, which hits shelves on 12 May.
Visit the official Doves website for more on the band.
