Once thought of primarily as a jazz cymbal, K Zildjians are often updated and 'improved' to meet contemporary demands. Zildjian claim that these crash ride offerings, developed with Oasis and The Who sticksman Zak Starkey, are no exception.

The new K Crashes are 21" or 22" in diameter, making them Zildjian's largest crash cymbals available. Both are of a medium-thin weight and feature a Brilliant Finish, which, Zildjian claim 'helps to smooth out the sound and add extra high-end sparkle'.

Former Beatle Ringo Starr's son, Zak, has been using the K Series in his set-ups with The Who and Oasis since 2000.
