NAMM 2008: Paiste and Iron Maiden drummer collaborate
Nicko McBrain releases the Paiste Signature Reflector Bell Ride
Nicko McBrain has played with cult metal band Iron Maiden for more than two decades. McBrain, along with Paiste's Sound Development team, have come up with a new signature cymbal: the Reflector Bell Ride.
The 20" or 22" Reflector Bell Ride is reminiscent of the Sound Creation Bell Ride, which the Iron Maiden sticksman used throughout the 1980s. The original concept was updated according to his current specifications and finished in bright Reflector style.
As a tribute to Nicko's collaborative effort, the label 'Powerslave' and a rendition of Iron Maiden's mascot, Eddie, have been placed on the 22" version of the cymbal.
See the Paiste website for more information.
