Mapex launches MPX Series snare drums
Brand new Maple, Birch and steel models
As Winter NAMM 2009 draws nearer, new gear rumours and announcements are pouring in, with Mapex USA leading by example on the latter. To compliment the drum giant's latest Black Panther additions comes a brand new range of snares: the MPX Series.
The wood versions are available in Maple (14"x5.5" and 13"x6") and Birch (13"x6" and 14"x5.5"), both lines feature a gloss finish and chrome or black hardware including a fully adjustable throw-off and low mass lugs. Remo heads are also fitted as standard.
A steel snare is also available (14"x5.5", 13"x5.5" and 10"x5.5") with a mirror-like stainless-steel shell.
All MPX Series snares have an RRP of $239.99.
